Safety Protocols and Format
The AYSO spring season will start April 17th.
We are in region 3 of Michigan (according to the state plan) and are following similar
guidelines for sports participation as the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
Our current plan is to hold only practices during the week which will focus on player development. We will hold scrimmages or jamboree style activities on Saturday's for duration of the fall season. Team schedules will likely come out in early September.
AYSO has published protocols and
FAQs to guide all of us as we strive to keep the kids safe. We will be asking each parent to take their child's temperature prior to each soccer-related activity (if above 100.4, do not attend).
We are planning to have a coaches meeting next week. Coaches, expect to see more details in the near future from Jason Snyder. It will likely be a zoom meeting to ensure we get as much participation as possible from all coaches, they are the lifeblood of our organization and we appreciate their time and effort to support our kids.
If you have further questions that need immediate attention, please reach out to me and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Again, we appreciate your patience as we navigate during this unusual time. We are providing as much information as we can to keep you well informed.
Thank you,
Pete Riethmeier
